My dad lives just outside of Paris and we decided to visit him. We took the train, which took about fifteen minutes, because driving in Paris on a Saturday is not a smart idea. The first thing we did was hop on another train that took us to the Eiffel Tower. We had a quick lunch and then wandered around to see the tower when it started pouring with rain and hailstones. Naturally we hid under the tower for a few minutes until it stopped. Best umbrella ever!
Once the rain had stopped, we walked to the Trocadéro area, taking a lot of photos on the way, when it started raining again so we stopped for a coffee at the Café le Malakoff. I had a cappuccino and Stefane had a hot chocolate. It was basically melted chocolate and you add steamed milk to it. It tasted amazingly rich and delicious.
Next on the list was shopping, because you can't go to Paris without a stop in one of the Sephoras. So we made our way to the Champs Elysées and I surprised even myself by not buying anything in Sephora (although I did get a few bits in H&M). Then, after a day full of walking and feeling exhausted, we got the train home. One day is definitely not enough to see a lot of Paris but I think we did pretty well.
