BellaLisa Valmor

While on holiday in Lisbon, we stumbled across this amazing restaurant, that was right near our hotel. It's gems like this that make me so excited to blog all about them. It's an Italian restaurant called BellaLisa Valmor and is located on the Avenida Visconde Valmor. I'll link their website here.
We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back two more times. That hardly ever occurs whenever we go away.
The staff were all really, exceptionally friendly and engaging and the decor was really charming and quaint, yet still modern.
On the first night, they were offering everyone a starter on the house, which we accepted of course. We never usually order starters but if it's free, why not.
When it arrived, I was a bit doubtful about whether I would enjoy it. It was a Bruschetta Bella Lisa, which is a slice of garlic bread with goats cheese, honey drizzled over it and topped with a raspberry and a walnut. It was mouthwateringly delicious. I knew honey and goats cheese worked well together, but I would never have thought to put a raspberry on top, but it tasted amazing.
I had Spaghetti Carbonara on the first night and Taglietelle Piemonte on the second night, while Stefane preferred to have pizzas both times (Pizza Calzone Milanese and Pizza Gamberoni, to be exact.)
On the third night, I only took photos of our dessert for some reason. We shared a delicious tiramisu and both had teeny tiny coffees, which are called "bica".
My only regret is that I didn't try the Spaghetti alla forma, but I did manage to snap a picture of one of the staff making it. They do it in front of the people who have ordered it and I have never seen anything like it. They scrape the inside of a huge parmesan wheel, then they add cooked spaghetti with cream and mix it all together, while adding truffle oil. To finish, they serve it with some ham and it looks amazing!
Price wise, it's all really reasonable and I would even say more on the cheaper side of the scale. It's definitely worth a visit, if you want brilliant quality food for a good price.

Hi everyone,
I only took a handful of outfit photos while on holiday in Lisbon, so I decided to put them all together instead of doing several different posts.
I had to pack reasonably light, which is why I used pretty much the exact same accessories every day/night. They did a good job though, and I liked using pieces that worked for both casual days out and dressed up evenings.
I bought the sandals last summer and they are still going strong. They are really comfortable but look like you've made an effort.
I recently ordered a few things from Boohoo, and I really like the swing vest tops that they do. Super cheap but really nice quality. I bought two black v-neck vest tops and one white one, that's how much I like them!
We did a lot of shopping in Lisbon and the H&M there is so much better than the ones here in Luxembourg! I spotted this skirt and actually bought the white version as well because they were just too pretty to leave. I think I'll probably use the white skirt in Spring/Summer, whereas the black skirt works all year round.
I'd been on the hunt for a nice white dress for the summer to show off my tan and fell in love with this one from H&M. I like the lace detail and cutouts and it's quite a thick material so it isn't see through, which is always a plus.
Hope you are having a good week!

Lisbon

Hi everyone,
I've had a blogging break but I'm back with a holiday blog post. We didn't have too much time for a holiday this year so we decided to split it up, instead of going somewhere for two weeks.
Back in July we hopped on a plane to spend a week in Lisbon. I had never been before and didn't know what to expect, but I do love city trips so I expected to love it, and I did! My dad had told me that Lisbon is quite an underrated city and it really is. When you think of city trips, you tend to think of Paris, Berlin, Rome. Well I do, anyway. But Lisbon is a beautiful city, with lots to offer. I would love to share every single photo but that would probably get boring so I will keep it short and sweet.
We always make a list of what we want to see and where we want to go. We add addresses and important details like closing times and entrance fees. Since we went for a week, rather than our usual four days, we were able to do the majority of our list.
The first full day we were there, we took a taxi to a scooter rental place and rented a scooter for five days. There are lots of ways to get round in Lisbon, but if you don't want to keep paying for taxis (although they are cheap) or squeeze into sticky trams, then a scooter (or bicycle!) is the way to go. Plus you get tanned while you ride around and you don't have to pay any parking. It just makes being a tourist really easy.
Instead of boring you with names of places you could easily look up (google link here), like the Belém Tower or the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, I thought I would share my highlights.
Driving around a city you aren't too familiar with means you tend to get lost, which means you tend to discover amazing viewpoints, like the one we found, looking out to the Marquês de Pombal roundabout. If anyone knows the name of this lookout point, let me know! We actually watched the World Cup Final down there.
We tried to go up the Vasco da Gama tower, but it was closed so instead we went inside to have dinner. It was a bit too expensive for our taste, but delicious all the same. And sitting out on the terrace, overlooking the sea while drinking mocktails and eating amazing food was really lovely. We also visited the aquarium and the casino in that area.
If you want to chill out with a glass of sangria and a city/sea view, then I would recommend going up to the miradouro das portas do sol, which literally means view of the sun doors. It's a lot less crowded up there and has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere.
If you would rather wander the streets while simultaneously doing a spot of shopping, as well as sightseeing, then head to the Rua Augusta, which is where the arch is located. On one side, you have shops and cafés galore and the Santa Justa lift, while on the other side, you have a square with a sea view and a nice place to rest.
I hope you've all had a great summer!
