It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I went to the Christmas market in Esch today, because the one in town doesn't open until friday and because  I'm incredibly impatient. I'd never been before, but I really liked it. It felt a lot smaller than the one in town, despite there being an ice rink. It was cosy and had loads of different food stalls and lovely decorations.

It was torture walking down the highstreet to get to it though, on account of not having any money to spend on clothes grrr. But oh well, at least I have all the Christmas presents sorted. I actually love buying stuff, whether it's for me or not. I know buying stuff on the internet is easier but I still love going through all the shops and looking for stuff. I love the whole build up towards Christmas too, it just makes me feel all happy and I reaaaaally want it to snow soon! Not too much like last year, yet, because we have a trip to England coming up and it would be horrible if weather conditions ruin that haha. But after the 23rd it can snow as much as it likes. I love all the christmassy smells, the traditions, all the different lights and decorations that people put up, how all the shops are full of Christmas-related stuff, and all the christmassy adverts and films on TV. It just makes me happy, which sounds so soppy but oh well. I'm a Christmas nut, always have been. I know, it's still November and I'm already counting the days! (32)
What do you love most about Christmas?

Every Day Is Pancake Day!

So, like I said, Stefane and exact quantities doesn't happen. Ever. Which is weird cos he's a perfectionist.
I watched him this time and gathered this much:
you will need:
flour
2 eggs
two thin, small packets of vanilla sugar
milk
a bowl
a pan
a whisk
and a big spoon

Put the eggs, the flour and the vanilla sugar in the bowl, then add the milk. Whisk it all up, so it's not too thick and is slightly runny (add flour/milk until it looks right). If you want you can add more sugar, but I don't think it's necessary. Then spoon some of the mix onto the pan (no oil necessary) and let it cook either side. And tadaaa! You have yummy pancakes.
Some of the pancakes had weird shapes on them. And the bottom left looks like a dolphin and a fish (if you have a very large imagination.)
trying to show you what I mean haha

FOTD & new laptop

Hey guys, this will just be a little update because I'm at my boyfriend's place and hadn't really planned ahead properly. Although we did make pancakes, so I suppose I can do a post on that. Be warned, there won't be any proper quantities because that's not how he rolls.
For some reason, my hair decided to behave for once, which is nice, so I took a picture. It's nice and soft, which is probably because I've changed shampoo and stuff. So it's not really a FOTD, more like Hair of the Day. Tomorrow when I wake up, I can expect it to be a frizzball once more.

And now for some exciting news!
My lovely boyfriend Stefane, decided to give me my Christmas present early, bless him. We went to Saturn (technology shop) and he told me to pick a laptop (and then told me which ones were actually good enough to pick, I have no idea whatsoever about what makes a laptop good). Then he told me to pick a nice bag, and I was all "are you serious???" and yes, he was. So now I have a lovely Asus Eee PC 1215p.
not too big, not too small, and very cute
Which means, now I don't have to use his laptop for everything, and I finally have a PC that works. (Our computer is so slow). I may sound really spoilt, but I'm getting him something just as good. So it's all fine.
Now I just have to get used to the blasted mouse! Haha
