Smokey Bronze Valentine's Day Look

This is my second Valentine's day/date night look, you can read the first one here. This look is slightly darker what with the red lip and bronze eyes but involves a lot less eyeshadows. I decided to do my base differently and used a brown pencil that I then blended upwards as well as a cream eyeshadow. Together they made the colours a little more intense and they lasted quite some time too, considering they are both by Maybelline (as opposed to my usual Nars base). I kept the rest of my face quite bronzed and let the lipstick steal the show. Cruella is a velvet matte lip pencil and I absolutely adore it. It lasted all day and looked amazing. I don't often do dark red lips but I really loved this one.
Hope you've all had a great week!

Rose Gold Soft & Sweet Valentine's Day Look

Hi everyone,
I felt like doing a makeup look using my Naked 3 palette and what with Valentine's day just around the corner, it seemed like a good time to do it. Even if you aren't celebrating Valentine's day you could still do this look because despite using a lot of different eyeshadows, I would still say it is wearable. The brown liner makes it a little less harsh too.
To go along with the pink theme I used my soft pink Nars blush in Amour. It's quite subtle and looks really pretty when lightly dusted on the cheeks. I also used my current favourite lip pencil which is in a rather sorry state after I tried sharpening it (sob) but still works perfectly fine.

Matte Chocolate & Shocking Pink

I have recently been obsessed with two things: the Sleek Face Form palette and the NARS Digital World Lip Pencil set. I was lucky enough to get both of these for Christmas last year. I had never really been into contouring or even using bronzer but I"m starting to make more of an effort with both of those steps. I've also been using the contour and bronzer shades as eyeshadow because they are both so gorgeous and this makes getting ready a lot easier as I'm using one product for several different parts of my face. Most of my matte brown eyeshadows are on the cooler scale of shades so it's nice to have some warmer tones. I've been switching between theNARS lip pencils a lot and my absolute favourites at the moment have to be Yu and Descanso. Both extremely beautiful and they last quite a while. I really love pairing a brown smokey eye with bright lips and Yu seemed like the perfect option.
Have a great week!

Festive Red & Gold

Hi everyone,
I decided to do a test run of the make up look that I want to do on Christmas day. I love playing around with make up and will use any excuse to go all out with it. I definitely wanted to go for the classic red and gold and I used several different eyeshadows to achieve the perfect gold. Not too bright but not too muted. I went for a mix of lipsticks again, as NARS Heatwave seemed a bit too bright on its own. I really like how it turned out, especially the winged liner. I blended out the bottom liner to create a sort of shadow of a wing underneath the liquid liner wing, which I think looks quite nice. Hopefully I will be able to recreate this look perfectly on the day!

Espresso Smokey Eyes & Red Lips

I was feeling really festive today and wanted to do a special makeup look so I decided to go for a dark brown smokey eye and red lips. I didn't really feel like having fire engine red lips (NARS Heatwave) so decided to mix it with a shimmery plum lipstick to mute the red but keep it looking rather christmassy. I really like the colour that resulted from mixing the two lipsticks and I really want to start mixing more lipsticks together.

Cocoa Brown

I decided to do something a little bit more daring and darker with my eyes today. I started by lining my top lashline with black liner before putting a dark, shimmery brown eyeshadow on top. It created a darker lashline without being too intense. Then I added brown liner over the top of that because I prefer having some kind of liner on my lashline, it's sort of a safety blanket. I kept the rest of my face rather bare, I didn't use any kind of lipstick, however I think a nice pink colour or even a dark plum lipstick would look nice with this look, it just depends on what time of day you choose to wear it.
Have a great week!

Plum Gold

This look features two of my new favourite makeup products (the brow pencil and the mascara) that I will be reviewing soon! I bought both of them almost a month ago and have been using them almost every day. I have rekindled my love for Woodwinked eyeshadow. I've been sticking to browns and bronzes recently and decided to change it up a bit. It's such a gorgeous gold colour and it blends out into a burnt orange/gold colour, so you basically only need to use one eyeshadow for this look. I also opted for brown liner instead of my usual black liner because I thought it looked less harsh with the eyeshadow. For my lips I used one of my favourite lipsticks for this time of the year. I feel that this look is versatile because despite being quite feastive and great for parties, it would still look nice during the day, since the eye makeup isn't too heavy.
